May Meeting

Our speaker in May was Matt Hebditch from Welton Baptist Church in Midsomer Norton.  The theme was “an axe head flourishes” which was based on 2 Kings chapter 6 verses 1-7.  We were reminded how God is doing wonderful things and how we are blessed by God – but we must not stop or be concerned about what God is calling us to do. We must be prepared to turn to God for help, particularly when we are facing difficulties; and also when we are facing things that might seem impossible for us to do, we must look to God for wisdom and direction.  There are also many wonderful examples of how Christians have had to face what seemed impossible things but God is clearly working through them – helping them to be “flourishing axe heads”.
