‘Share Easter’, from J.John and the Philo Trust
23 Filling Stations used J.John’s ‘Share Christmas’ resources!
It was wonderful to see many Filling Station teams making use of the J.John/Philo Trust ‘Share Christmas’ resources in December and putting on online Christmas evangelistic services.
Our own South Lakes Filling Station team put together a ‘Cumbria Christmas Unwrapped’ online service, which had over 600 views. We believe that the Lord used all these meetings to reach out to many who don’t know Him to help them on their journey of faith – we heard of many non-Christians who tuned in!
‘Share Easter’
Following on from that I wanted to encourage you all to have another go at preaching the gospel – this Easter!
2 Timothy 4: 2 says “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favourable or not. (NLT).
It feels like the time is certainly very favourable at the moment with so many people suffering and struggling with the consequences of this global pandemic. They need to hear some GOOD NEWS!
J.John is now putting out some ‘Share Easter’ video resources which will be available in the next week. This again makes putting on online evangelistic services very easy.
‘Share Easter’ includes:
- The Easter Story animation for children and families.
- Hymns and songs sung by Darlene Zschech, Graham Kendrick, Sheila Walsh, Noel Robinson, Mhairi MacBean and Nicki Rogers.
- Seven Words from the Cross: reflections for use during Holy Week or for a Good Friday service.
- An Easter Day sermon.
- Articles on Lent.
So please do pray and chat with your team members about whether you can use these resources to reach out to people with the Good News of Jesus this Easter.
