Filling Stations are continuing to grow! New meetings popping up this year
We are thrilled that this year suggests growth of Filling Stations already: we have had five groups planning to start new meetings this year – two of them the first in their counties!
Malmesbury, Wiltshire
This team had hoped to launch last May, having visited the original Filling Station meeting in Box, to get inspiration, but had put a pause on it with Covid.
Now, they plan to launch this Autumn, with a physical meeting. Local Anglican clergyman, and ex-HTB vicar the Rev Ollie Ross (Malmesbury Abbey), is very encouraging of this meeting!
Central Northumberland
This marks the first meeting in Northumberland: from Autumn, they will meet physically in a village hall somewhere off the A1 North of Morpeth! This is a very rural location with a sparse population – making it classic Filling Station territory!
Dore, Sheffield
Dore is a village South of Sheffield with a dynamic team that has already been meeting. Dore hopes to start after Easter, with an on-line meeting initially, converting into a local hall as regulations allow.
Marple, near Stockport, part of Greater Manchester
This group have secured a venue, worship leader and caught the Filling Station vision! They hope to start meeting physically from May onwards and have been encouraged by how supportive their local churches have been.
Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire.
Perhaps surprisingly, this is the first Filling Station meeting in Lancashire and Richard is already booked in to speak at their opening meeting (October 14th). The team continue to pray hard about the gathering and they have good local church buy-in.
