What our Teams felt during 24 Hours of Prayer for The Filling Station
Thank you!
On Monday 27 September, our Filling Station teams across the world, chose an hour-long slot over 24 hours, to pray for The Filling Station ministry.
By using the virtual Prayer Room through the 24/7 Prayer website, teams and individuals were able to sign up easily for a slot. We didn’t quite manage to fill each of the 24 hour slots, but many slots had multiple people praying.
The day of prayer coincided with our Staff Meeting away. The Staff Team spent their hour worshipping together in the presence of the Lord. A very special time, as all our team work remotely, and so time together is precious.
There were various themes that we noticed from these words that were fed back to use:
- A reminder of Father’s faithful promises: they remain and do not change or alter.
A word came through from a new Filling Station team: ‘I am faithful’ says the Lord.
The Lord’s love is always there, shining forth to us all, and we need to be looking out for Him, because it is easily obscured by the clouds of life.
We need to be alert that we don’t allow the grey clouds (unbelief, difficult circumstances, lies, disappointments, hurts…) to come in and block off the unwavering, constant and unconditional love of our Father.
1 Corinthians 13:12, “For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: Now I know in part, but then I shall know even as also I am known.’” - Holy Spirit has been preparing the ground; hearts being softened in readiness for Him.
There is new birth, seemingly out of season, out of line with the world around. - “GO!!”and be bold!
Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT, “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” - The Father’s Kingdom has no lack.
We claim this Kingdom principle for the Filling Station network and meetings. He is Jehovah Jireh, that is His Nature.
A final encouragement came in the form of,
“Look to God. Trust in Him. Go out in faith. Expect miracles. Love one another. Share the HOPE that we have with those we meet and those who are drawn to Filling Station!”
Coming soon:
In early 2022, we are planning another day of prayer, in-line with what we feel God asking us to do.
Watch this space!
We know that prayer is the ‘fuel’ for all that the Lord is doing, and will do in the future, through The Filling Station.
