“Prayer Shot” – September summary
On Tuesday 6 September, a small group of Staff Team, Filling Station Hosts and guests, gathered to pray online, led by Brian and Trevor.
We prayed that God would renew & refresh us, take us deeper with him and that the fruit of our ministry would be increased evangelism and outreach. Here’s our summary of this prayer meeting.
Scriptures
- 1 Kings 19.5-8 – Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he travelled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.
- Ezekiel 47.3-5 – As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross.
- Luke 2:20 – The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
- Psalm 42:1-2 – As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
- Matthew 6:33 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
Renewal – Refreshing
- Praying for wonderful growth from what has been on hold during the pandemic
- God’s all sufficient presence meets our deep need
- Galatians: we shall carry each others’ burdens
- The battle belongs to the Lord and taking confidence in Him
Filling Station Conference – Going Deeper with God
- Praying for times of encounter and for heaven to be touching earth
- Praying for every detail, of the practical side, the spiritual side.
- A real spirit of encouragement on people
- Praying for our main speaker, Dr Sharon Stone
- Thanking God that the prophetic is right at the centre of the Conference
Evangelism – Re-invigorating
- Increase in evangelism and bringing new people to faith in Jesus
- Having the heart for the people around us
- The joy of encounter the shepherds – may we understand the extraordinary message of the gospel of grace
