“Prayer Shot” – July summary
On Tuesday 4th July, a small group of Staff Team, Filling Station Hosts and guests, gathered to pray online, led by Richard & Jo. Here are some of the things that were prayed for!
Scriptures
- Psalm 17:8 “Hide me Lord in the shadow of your wings.”
- Psalm 46 “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it. The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israelis our fortress. Come, see the glorious works of the Lord, see how he brings destruction upon the world. He causes wars to end throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and snaps the spear; he burns the shields with fire.
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honoured by every nation. I will be honoured throughout the world.” The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. - Matthew 5:2 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
- Psalm 125:3 “For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous…”
- Hebrews 12:2 “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”
- Chronicles 29 :10-14 “Praise be to you, Lord, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honour come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.
“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
- Malachi 3:7-12 “Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’ “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse, your whole nation, because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.”
- Psalm 40:2-3 “He set my feet upon a rock and made my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.”
Giving thanks
- Thanks for the faithfulness of host teams! And for new team members who are joining Host Teams.
- Thank you Lord that you are working powerfully and seeing people filled. We ask that you stretch out the tent pegs of our meetings and help them to grow.
Requests
- For new venues for teams who are having to move… including those outgrowing their venues!
- For teams launching soon – and those who have recently started. Praying for the Lord to grow those tender shoots!
- Praying for those coming to our meetings as they come out of the new age.
- Prayer for a deepening of unity, boldness, and vulnerability. For us all to step out in our spiritual gifts.
- For finances – praying for God to release the finance where there are any blockages. Praying for strategy as a team in seeing what to do, and not making decisions from a place of lack. We pray for vision for the future.
- Praying for large sponsors who come forward so lift the burden of finances.
- Refuel, as they step out in faith, putting it on for free. Thank you that the kids ministry has had 150 children book in. Pray for the unity of the church in Scotland. May the Refuel team themselves be refuelled. For protection over everyone involved, for health and from any accidents. For all those who attend to be open and for you to move in power.
- Hands at Work, particularly the precarious situation in DRC. For the children who are having to move and live like refugees.
Testimonies
- A lady came to a meeting with ovarian cancer, she was prayed for and when she went for surgery, they opened her up and there was nothing there!
- An intercessor in our group has had cancer surgery and they are confident that all the cancer has been removed. Some treatment needed but prognosis is good.
- Someone prayed for their nephew with terrible hayfever and he woke up the next day fine.
- A lady was told she was not allowed to fly as she was pregnant, she managed to see a friend with cancer before the friend died which was a miracle.
