“Prayer Shot” – February summary

On Tuesday 6th February, a small group of Staff Team, Filling Station Hosts and guests, gathered to pray online, led by Lisa & James. James focused on the theme of solitude – and how it’s a place of encounter with our God. And then we started with a few minutes of silence.

We do not go into the desert to escape people but to find them – Thomas Merton.

We are also starting to prepare for a Lent journey, starting next week.

1. Enlarging the place of your tent, going deeper & wider

Isaiah 52 – Enlarge your tent
We prayed for our team going on ministry trips to South Africa & Sweden
Thank you Lord that our team will be in complete unity together as a body.

2. Meetings started in the last year

We prayed for these meetings, and that they would see a harvest. Lord, would you gather people to your presence, they would be like wells of your Spirit.

Psalm 24:5, “They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Saviour. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.”

1 John 5:5-7, “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Praying for a smoothness of running to the meetings, and that they would be places which could host the presence of the Lord well.
We pray these new meetings would be like fresh streams in desert places.
We thank you Lord that each of these groups will their own characteristics. We pray that each group would listen to the Holy Spirit for the emphasis He’s given them.

3. Existing meetings going deeper

Feeling that the Lord wants to release more levels of fruitfulness to filling Stations.
We pray God that you would move more powerfully.
We pray that the teams leading meetings would become increasingly kingdom minded. Make us sensitive to your leading and direction.
We want to pray the release of the prophetic anointing across the Filling Stations that they would be known as places that people would go to hear from you Lord. We ask and release it in Jesus’ in name.

Ephesians 1:15-16, “For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.”

We want to see your power in and at work before us. We ask for a greater revelation of the Father’s love. We want to see what He saw. We want more Father!

4. New meetings

Lord we pray for wisdom for new meetings as they consider starting.
We pray for patience with each other in our leadership groups.
Give these meetings favour and direction.
We want to pray for a prospective meeting in Wales. We pray you’d raise them up!
We pray that great spiritual nation would rise!
Let there be a place at your feast Lord.

Luke 14:21-24, “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’ “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’ “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”
