July ‘Prayer Shot’
On Tuesday 2nd July, a small group of Staff Team, Filling Station Hosts and guests, gathered to pray online, led by Brian and Hellie. We started by spending some time reflecting on this verse from Romans:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
As we prayed we continued to focus our prayers on the hope, joy and peace we have in Jesus and the power given to us through the Holy Spirit.
Prayer for our Teams – National and International
- A sense there is an urgency for us to actively listen to Him.
- Psalm 42 – I put my hope in God! What are his plans are purposes that we can join with?
- A picture of waves crashing over us, representing the Holy Spirit overflowing, continually refreshing us.
- A reminder that we have authority to speak in His name and see transformation.
- Hosea 6:3 – Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.
Equip & Empower
- We prayed for Hellie and Simon to have wisdom to hear the Lord so the teaching they bring really dies equip and empower people.
- A picture of an old fashioned tool used to extend a dining table. The Lord wants to put the tools in our hands but we need to take the first steps and put in some effort.
- Colossians 2:6-7- So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
- Prayer for people to be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power as they are equipped and empowered.
Conference in Ripon
- Prayer for new people to come and new links to be made that will impact the whole area.
- A picture of an agricultural irrigation system providing water with precision, guaranteeing life and provision. A sense that there will be healthy growth resulting in a growth spurt for the people attending, the network and the surrounding area.
- Revelation 5:8 – And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.
- A reminder that the Lord has shown us he is doing a cleansing of the ground. He has gone before us, we just need to gather and He will do the rest.
- Psalm 46 – There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
- A picture of fire from heaven hitting the conference, refining and bringing transformation.
