Calum Davenport is coming back!
Our speaker for Wednesday 5th February 2025, will be former Premier League footballer, Calum Davenport!
Calum was raised in Bedfordshire and he grew up hoping to be a footballer. With single minded dedication he saw his dream come true; he made it to the Premiership and played for teams including Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham. One particular season was interrupted when he broke his neck but managed a full recovery. However his Premiership career came to an end when he was stabbed and almost died. He and his family later moved to Devon, where his daughter (a promising swimmer) enrolled in Kelly College, and where he met Rev Richard Bache.
