April 25 Filling Station

Pastor Tino’s sermon explored Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11), emphasising three key points about Christ’s nature and relationship with believers. Tino began by highlighting that “Jesus was there and he cared for you,” noting how Christ’s presence at an ordinary wedding demonstrated his willingness to enter the commonplaces of human life. Tino shared personal testimonies of divine encounters, including seeing angels as a child and experiencing God’s peace after a serious car accident that redirected his life path.
The second point emphasised that “Jesus would speak” when approached in faith. Tino suggested Mary’s boldness in asking Jesus to address the wine shortage stemmed from her deep meditation on God’s promises about her son. This faith—not needs, tears, or lengthy prayers—moved God’s heart. Tino shared examples of answered prayers and healing miracles from his ministry, reinforcing that obedience to divine instruction, however unusual, produced supernatural results.
Finally, the sermon focused on how every challenging situation presented an opportunity for “God’s glory to be revealed.” Tino referenced Jesus’ healing of the blind man, noting such difficulties were not necessarily punishment but opportunities for divine intervention. He encouraged us not to focus on negative circumstances but on God’s truth, explaining that as darkness increased in the world, so did the light in believers who responded with faith like Mary’s.
The message concluded with a reminder that Christians were called beyond normality—they were saved for God’s glory to be manifested through their lives when they boldly stepped into difficult situations with faith-filled expectations.
