Get Ready for what God is doing!

We had a wonderful time at our last Filling Station when Hellie Glynn, our regional director was our speaker after a beautiful time of praise and thanksgiving. She encouraged us with stories of young peole coming to the Lord in “droves” right across the UK. We are beginning to experience a little of this already in Mid Wales and the Marches, especially in Rhayadr. Our son-in-law in Chester last week had a young man coming up to him, knowing he is a Christian, to tell him how both he and his partner feel drawn to search for God and how should they go about it? Then another asked him similar questions, without him orchestrating such conversations. We live in exciting times.
Hellie spoke at our last Filling Station gathering about us needing to prepare the way for the Lord from Isaiah 40:3,4. God is about to move and has already started to do so and there is a part for each of us to play in this move of God. 80 young adults who have started to come to her church in Cheltenham are now enthusiastically moving in His power. The same is happening in Harrogate and many other places. God is in relentless pursuit to bring people back to Him. God is calling and it is our job to “prepare the way – make straight the ways”. Isaiah 57:14 says “I will say, ‘Rebuild the road! Clear away the rocks and stones so my people can return from captivity.’ ” Remove the stumbling blocks. (Ask God to point out to you what some of these stumbling blocks are). God wants to revive faith in this nation and is doing it even without us. We need to get ready to also parent these young new believers who want to follow Him more closely. Hellie told of a young alcoholic who fell, cutting his head open as he fell. God was watching over him. When he regained consciousness he prayed “If this is you Lord, take this cup of suffering (alcoholism) from me. ” Then he found someone had placed a Bible in his hand which started his earnest search for freedom. Likewise we can give Jesus all that is holding us back so we can really be used by Him.
At our next Filling Station gathering on Friday 27th June at 7pm in Glasbury Village Hall we are privileged to have Jules Jones lead us in worship and speak to us. She is a beautiful worship leader in Sound of Wales with such a loving heart for our Saviour and a beautiful voice. You can see and hear her on youTube It is going to be a wonderful evening with His Presence throughout so do bring along friends, family and neighbours to join us with coffee and cakes in a relaxed atmosphere.
