Our Black Mountain Filling Station this summer 2025

Jools Jones from Cwmbran, who plays and sings with Sound of Wales, led a wonderful time of worship at our last Filling Station gathering at the end of June. Parts of her story were applicable to many of us who came to Glasbury village hall that evening. She met Jesus 40 years ago when she was 15 when she went to see Cliff Richard at a Billy Graham meeting and found herself going forward to make a commitment to Jesus when her head had not intended to! She had been going through lots of stuff for ten years but without Jesus who gently persued her and over time He healed her messed up and hurting life and has never left her. Romans 5:6.
Worship plays a big part in her life. We were created to worship Him as He inhabits our praises and comes close to us when we do. Satan tries hard to stop us worshipping and tries to distract us. He plants in us seeds of anxiety, depression, doubt, etc which grow in us if we agree with them. Instead we must stay close to Him and worship Him with thankfulness and He will help us overcome such things. Romans 8:26. We need to keep flowing in His Peace in us which enables us to pass that Peace on to others.
Our next Filling Station in Glasbury will be on Friday 25th July starting at 7pm with coffee and cakes when we can meet and catch up with others and introduce our friends and neighbours to our friends in a relaxed atmosphere around coffee tables. Then after a time of worship we will hear fromTalia and Keith from Canada and USA who have been ministering in the Uk and Europe since 2021. They bring almost 20 years of experience in music ministry, evangelism, spiritual formation, pastoral care and church revitalization. They also bring with them two sweet young missionaries, their daughters Vayda(6) and Galilee (4). Currently they seek to connect the otherwise disconnected people, reaching deep into their community with the love and life changing power of Jesus. The Comer family aims to create ‘third spaces’ where people of all backgrounds and spiritual perceptions can gather, get to know others and be known themselves. All with the goal of providing a place where Jesus is revealed to each one of them.
PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL BE OUR LAST FILLING STATION GATHERING BEFORE WE FINISH FOR THE SUMMER. We will resume on September 26th with the Bishop of Brecon and Swansea as our speaker whom we all enjoyed the last time he came.
