The Filling Station raising money for charity!
The Filling Station has now raised over £6,000 for charity through Richard Fothergill’s Great Trek prayer walk from John o’Groats to Lands End! Starting on June 5th, he aims to finish the 500+ mile walk on July 17th. So far, he has raised over £6,000 for two charities. Half the money raised will go to ‘Hands at Work’, who deal with some of the poorest of the poor in Africa, particularly caring for AID’s orphans (handsatwork.org). The other half of the money will go towards new Filling Station teams wishing to set up meetings in their areas. There are currently 13 groups wanting to do this in the UK and abroad. Many who attend Filling Station meetings across the country have been joining him to walk sections of his route and pray for their communities. To join in with this fund raising effort go to: my.give.net/thegreattrek and donate on-line today. Lets help him reach his target of £8,000 over the whole Trek!
