Our desire is that you would come and linger in worship in the presence of Jesus.

At times, sessions may be more creative, meditative or reflective in nature and at other times with more of a teaching focus. However, Jesus will always be glorified as King of kings and Lord of lords and the Word of God upheld.

What is FillingStation@home?

Our initial vision for FillingStation@home was to serve and resource small groups across the country.

However the majority of people who have been part of @home over the last year have done so as individuals or couples.

It also became clear that the technology for really good live worship is still not here. High quality live music requires more bandwidth than Zoom seems to be able to deliver!

Rather than pressing on with the original vision regardless, we decided to embrace what @home has become. To make @home more sustainable we have moved from bi-monthly to monthly, with curated pre-recorded worship and without the watch again facility.

The February 2025 gathering of Wirral Filling Station will take place at Bushell Hall, Birkenhead School, Bidston Road, Birkenhead, Wirral. CH43 6UN.  Thursday 20th February 2025. Parking is as usual around the church. Folk will be on hand to direct you. 

Refreshments, which include the famous cake offering, are available from 7;10pm. We start promptly at 7:30pm.

Akhtar is endlessly grateful for Jesus. A former social worker and pastor, he helps lead three specific kingdom communities and works, the Foundry, Kingdom Embassy and the School of Word and Spirit, working with individuals and groups in church, business and elsewhere – wherever the Lord leads Him. Akhtar’s life has been marked by miracles and he is longing to see every believer walking in a deeper relationship with Jesus and in the fullness of the power of God…

Flame International was founded in 2003 by Lt Col Jan Ransom and six other trustees, most with military backgrounds, who had a passion and a united vision to reach out with God’s love both to the armed forces and also to those affected by war, poverty and injustice. A prophetic word at that time indicated that the ministry would spread like flames, going out throughout the world, communicating the light of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

From small beginnings Flame International has grown. We worked initially with women in the jungles of Borneo, before God started directing us towards Africa. The Lord Jesus Christ gave Jan Ransom, the founder, a vision in which she saw a map of Africa, vivid green in colour, which after many minutes turned orange and then eventually to red! He also gave us the interpretation – that the way is open for us to work in Africa at this time, although it may not be that way forever.

Jasper is a passionate evangelist. He is Head Boy of his school and gets the opportunity to speak in assemblies. He is about to start an Alpha course in the school and he is really excited seeing God at work in his life. Do come, bring any interested in seeing how God is working among young people.

Terry Steinegger is coming to talk to us about the ministry of Open Doors.

This charity works among persecuted Christians all over the world.

There will be time to pray in response to the stories she tells.

South Glos Filling Station

We’re so excited about this South Glos Filling Station event! Worship, teaching, and ministry to encourage, challenge, and renew you through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Before joining Bristol Baptist College in 2012 Peter Hatton was the minister of Methodist churches in the West Country and the Midlands. His scholarly activity over the last twenty-five years has been combined with pastoral charge over large churches and he is passionate about helping pastors, preachers and teachers to draw on the deep wells of scripture to equip them in their missionary encounters with the world. Peter read English Literature at Christ’s College Cambridge and Theology at the University of Bristol (where he still does some part-time teaching) and completed his Doctorate with Gerard Norton at the University of Birmingham. He is an enthusiastic, if very unfit, cyclist and a supporter of Sustrans (which promotes environmentally sustainable transport systems). Other interests include dog-walking, reading (favourite modern novelist, Barbara Pym) and supporting the Irish Rugby Team. Peter is responsible for Theological Studies at the College, and teaches Hebrew and Biblical Studies.
