This month we celebrate the 10th Anniversay of the Suffolk Coastal Filling Station and we welcome Paul Witter as our guest speaker.

His message is “Knowing God”

Paul is an ex-Marxist/atheist and an ex-alcoholic. It was in large part, as a result of getting sober, that he eventually came to Christ. He had been part of Alcoholics Anonymous and, as part of the twelve steps, was trying to find God. Eventually God found him through a series of events (some quite remarkable) that led him to attend a Christianity Explored course and give his life to Christ at his local Anglican church.

Over time he felt called to pastoral ministry and went to Oak Hill theological college in North London, where he obtained a master’s degree in theology and pastoral studies. Whilst at Oak Hill he realized that his theological convictions were best suited to ministry in an independent church. It was also at Oak Hill that his passion to see revival began, having studied historical revivals as part of a module on spiritual health and growth.

In 2012 he was called to pastor Avenue Evangelical Church in Woodbridge. In 2016 he attended a Life in the Spirit conference, where he was baptized with the Holy Spirit. Since then, he has also been passionate in the belief that Word and Spirit ministry is what brings true transformation. In 2018, he felt called to begin a healing prayer service and began to see people get healed as a result of prayer. Healing prayer continues to be part of the ministry at Avenue Evangelical Church, and God is still answering those prayers. He longs to see a people saturated with God and on fire for Jesus.
