January Meeting
At our meeting on January 11th the speaker was James Dudley-Smith, who is the vicar at St John’s Church in Yeovil. The talk was based on a passage from Ephesians (4v17-5v2) and one of the key themes was how we can become the “new me” that God wants us to be – and a key element in this is to focus on God speaking to us through his Word, the Bible so that we can come to Christ and be equipped to live God’s life for him. There are a number of ways that we must follow to change effectively for the Lord – to know Him and be taught by Him; to be blessed by the Holy Spirit coming to us; and to remember that Jesus loved us by going to the cross and we must be prepared to serve Him and forgive others.
Our next meeting is on Friday February 8th and our speaker is Silas Crawley.
