February Meeting
Our speaker in February was Mike Tate, who has worked for the Filling Station and is now based in Cornwall – and has set up a Filling Station at The Lizard where he lives. His talk was about the love of God and we heard much to remind us of all that God has done for us. We know that God is love and that His love is transformational. We also have the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit that can work through us and enable us to understand all that God’s love has done for us – not least through His son, Jesus. We must also overcome the “fear of the world” by living through faith in God and His glorious love that He has given to us.
Our next meeting is on Friday March 13th and the speaker is Silas Crawley who has been working for Hope Church in Bristol for many years and is also proclaiming the Gospel in prisons. He was also in the 80s and 90s a member of a great Christian rock band called “Fat and Frantic”!
