Testimony and Passover
RICHARD FOTHERGILL
A large number of people gathered at Staveley, with a wide range of ages represented, from young teens to older persons. They heard Richard Fothergill cover several subjects at our April meeting.
Following food and fellowship Jo and Richard shared stories and testimonies of their two months of ministry in South Africa. This included several who had journeyed to the meetings after hearing Richard speak on the radio. Two ladies had talked of feeling the love of God envelope them as soon as they walked into the room. There was also testimony to healed legs and depression.
Following worship led by Mark, we heard about the many aspects of the Filling Station ministry online and in person. Finally, this being Maundy Thursday, Richard led us through an understanding of the different parts of the Passover meal which Jesus celebrated with His disciples on this evening. He emphasised that Christ has fulfilled the Passover and we celebrate that in Holy Communion.
The meeting drew to a conclusion as the team ministered to those who wanted prayer.
