Phil Ireson writes:

” I am now retired after 35 years in Anglican ministry which saw me serving in two rural benefices in Sheffield Diocese, then as Senior Chaplain at HMP Doncaster, and latterly as an inner city Vicar in Sheffield. In retirement I have been able to deepen my partnership with Christians working in a prison in Malawi by starting an eco-farm project I have also been part of a SOMA (Sharing of ministry abroad) team which visited a South Sudanese refugee camp in 2017. I hope to do another bible conference there in the Autumn.. I am also a trustee of a charity I set up with an ex-offender which supports work in the Dearne Valley. I also help out at a small church that has no Vicar but still has a vision for reaching out to a large, mostly unchurched estate in South Sheffield.
I have a passion for helping people understand the work of the Holy Spirit in their everyday lives in a practical and straightforward, bible-based way so I am looking forward to sharing with the Filling Station as you work your way through the Fruit of the Spirit”
