Event Details

The speaker at our meeting on 2nd May will be Matt Vaughan.

Matt has been working in mission since 2006.  He is a keen communicator and writer and is passionate about the power of the written and spoken word to help communicate the message of Christ into all corners of the world, with a particular personal focus on the Muslim world.

Between 2006 and 2010 Matt worked at Interserve UK as the editor of their quarterly magazine and of their regular prayer resource material.  After leaving Interserve in 2010 he studied at All Nations College, UK, to prepare for cross-cultural service overseas.  Between 2011 and 2019 Matt served with his family in Pakistan, first in Rawalpindi and then in Islamabad, as a content writer and fundraiser for Media Team Pakistan and also as the Board Chair of Zarephath Bible Seminary.  His two books on Pakistan – “Notes From A Sacred Land” and “Land of Beauty, Land of Pain” were launched in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

Since late 2021 Matt has been based in east Birmingham, working with the Deanery of Yardley and Solihull to help Christians engage more positively with their Muslim neighbours.  He is married to Andrea and they have four children: Sam, Ellie, Hannah and Daniel.
