There’ll be practical seminars from our Filling Station team. Each Host Team have an opportunity for a prophetic appointment. 

The Conference is open to all but will be particularly aimed at equipping and empowering Filling Station teams and guests from across the country and around the world.

A warm welcome from the Angles Way Filling Station team. Our name is inspired by the long- distance regional footpath, the Angles Way.

‘And the Lord will guide you continually
and satisfy your desire in scorched places
and make your bones strong;

And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;

Our desire is that you would come and linger in worship in the presence of Jesus.

At times, sessions may be more creative, meditative or reflective in nature and at other times with more of a teaching focus. However, Jesus will always be glorified as King of kings and Lord of lords and the Word of God upheld.

National conference in Ripon 10 – 12th October

Monday 14th October Sarah Tyrwhitt-Drake

David is married to Suzanne and have 3 grown up sons and 3 grandchildren.

He worked in IT in London for 30 years and has recently retired.

He has been on several short term missions to India, South Africa, Albania, Netherlands and started a House church in Tokyo, where they lived for 3 years.

He has always pursued the charismatic, having been saved after receiving very specific words of knowledge. He loves ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit and has seen many people healed of different conditions and tangibly experiencing a touch of God’s glory. He is growing in the apostolic and his desire is to equip people to bring in God’s kingdom wherever they are.

Suzanne and David set up and lead Aylesbury Vale Filling Station. They are incredibly hospitable and generous, They are good friends of ours. You have probably seen them before, as they have been at our meetings in the past and mostly likely prayed for you.

We will be joined by Lucinda and Steve Smith. Lucinda will be speaking and Steve will be doing worship.
Lucinda and Steve live in Preston, Lancs. they have four children and lots of grandchildren! Lucinda is an author and public speaker and loves speaking on’ Identity’ Steve is a GP and runs Keys Detox and loves to worship.

Our speaker this month is Jake Parker, our regional representive for Youth for Christ. Come along for pizza, worship, prayer as usual, but also especially if you are passionate about young people and youth ministry. It’ll be great to link up, hear stories of how YFC impact young lives, and pray for those we know and love.

What is FillingStation@home?

Our initial vision for FillingStation@home was to serve and resource small groups across the country.

However the majority of people who have been part of @home over the last year have done so as individuals or couples.

It also became clear that the technology for really good live worship is still not here. High quality live music requires more bandwidth than Zoom seems to be able to deliver!

Rather than pressing on with the original vision regardless, we decided to embrace what @home has become. To make @home more sustainable for 2024 we have moved from bi-monthly to monthly, with curated pre-recorded worship and without the watch again facility.

We will be joined by out speaker, James Nikols and our worship leaders, HOPE RISING WORSHIP.

As Filling Station Regional Consultant for S E England James supports and trains teams as well as speaking across the region. Having studied at Ridley Hall in Cambridge James was ordained into the Church of England in 2000. He has been involved in leading churches in London, Plymouth and South Africa.

Hope Rising Worship is a music ministry based in Littlehampton, in the UK. We host our own worship events, retreat days and worship gatherings for small groups, and are available to book to lead worship / worship events in your own church. Our music reflects the heart of God.

Rev Jean de Garis is vicar of St Frances Church

For the past 22 years, Phil has served in prisons throughout Eastern England, including 19 years at HMP The Mount in Hertfordshire. He is currently leading the team at HMP Whitemoor.

His talk is part testimony on God’s call to serve in prison and part what a day is like in the role of a prison chaplain. Phil suggested the theme of ‘Mud’ because often ministry in prison can feel like trying to walk alongside prisoners in the cloying mud of their lives.

The October 2024 gathering of Wirral Filling Station will take place at Bushell Hall, Birkenhead School, Bidston Rd. Oxton CH43 6UN on Thursday 17th October 2024. Parking is as usual in the school. Folk will be on hand to direct you. 

Refreshments, which include the famous cake offering, are available from 7;10pm. We start promptly at 7:30pm.

Rowena is a passionate speaker and preacher. She has spoken in many contexts, from the local church, to large evangelist events and radio appearances. Commissioned as an Archbishop’s Evangelist, her passion is for taking the Good News to the broken and the lost and to set people on fire for God. Rowena has written many devotionals and biblical reflections as she herself has grown in her love of Scripture. As well as offering practical theological insight, these writings also serve as powerful culturally commentary.
